Dance - Rewindable Learning

Panmure Bridge School has a dance production coming up and I am in in the song Staying alive but lucky for us we have rewindable learning which is learning you can watch over and over again to help us get better at things even when you are at home if you really wanted to so I can keep watching the dance and practising until I get the dance perfect. But these moves didn't make themselves thank you to Zoe for helping us out with the dance.

Dance

Today for dance Miss Brett has been teaching us about the temp or speed of music and how it affects the dance. Dances look better when they are in sync with the music which is the point Miss Brett was trying to get across with this lesson. I really enjoyed today lesson in dance because me and Oh Hsen made a lot of progress with our dance and the moves we used. She compared rock and ballet music to a dance to see if they would fit the dance and rock was to fast while ballet was to slow.

Dance Term 2 Day 1

Today we were practising different movements. One of the movements were free flow which was moving from the bones and was really loose and free, On the other hand there was bound flow which was moving from the muscles and was more restricted and robotic. Me and my partner also made different shapes: Triangle, Circle & Square. We made each shape a different way some were twisted some were straight, curved and angled. We merged each shape and we froze which was basically staying as still as possible. Travelling is when you move around the room making all your different shapes. We were dancing in sync to the music: Oxygene by Jeane-Michel Jarre
